This edition will also feature a promotional space for the "Fashion From Portugal" project, which aims to generate a more valued image of the sector on an international scale. Following the actions carried out in Spain, USA and Sweden, it will take advantage of the growing number of international business customers to the event to strengthen a structured and positive message of an industry in resurgence with a qualitatively higher profile and which has turned the fragile price competition into solid preference for value.

OPORTO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FRANCISCO SÁ CARNEIRO 

For the first time in the world a textile fair was held at an airport in operation.

 

The Modtissimo, the only exhibition of the Textile Row and Portugal Fashion, held biannually, in a bold bet, this time changed its exhibition space, the Customs Port, to the Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport in Maia. A bet that has proved bold but it turned out as a great success.

One way to show the world that the Portuguese textile continues to innovate in every way and that national infrastructure risk in new initiatives to boost the national economy.

The Modtissimo, the only exhibition of Textile Row and Portuguese Fashion, continues to occupy the best in Europe Congress Centre

The Modtissimo is one of the oldest halls of the sort that exists in Europe and continues to maintain a vitality that everyone recognizes both the exhibitors, that national and international buyers.

The Modtissimo is integrated into the Port Fashion Week that goes into its 6th edition and adds a number of initiatives linked to the textile and clothing sector.

SPRING / SUMMER 16

Graeme Gaughan's label Tourne de Transmission started off as a t-shirt line back in 2012, but has swiftly grown into a fully-fledged label, offering up a relaxed, layered, organic look at this year's LC:M. In his show, We The Ignorant Youth, Gaughan looked to Colombia's Kogi tribe, who he came across in the BBC documentary The Elder Brothers' Warning. Amazed by how much his existing silhouette mirrored the Kogi's, he decided to look more closely at working with similar fabrics and colours too.
